WHAT YOU'LL NEED body art quality henna powder bottled lemon juice and warm to hot distilled water 100% pure essential oils for body art sugar, preferably fructose, or raw sugar or molasses HOW TO MIX HENNA INTO PASTE Take 2 tbsp of henna powder (about 25 grams of henna) and place it into a glass or stainless steel bowl. Add 1 tsp of sugar of your choice and blend well. Heat your liquid (about 1/4 cup) to warm (not boiling) on the stove and add it slowly to your henna powder. Mix well until it is the consistency of a thick mud. Add 1 tsp of body art essential oil. Mix well. Allow your henna paste (cover or uncovered) to sit 4-5 hours Do a quick stain test. Take a small amount of paste and place it on your palm. Leave it on for 2-3 minutes. Wash it off with water and check for a bright orange pumpkin stain. If there is no bright stain then let the henna paste continue to sit 1-2 hours and repeat the stain test. If it does give you a bright pumpkin stain, continue to the next step. You may need to add more of your liquid to thin the paste out to a yoghurt or pancake like consistency. If you're unsure please reference ourVideos. Once the consistency, is the way you like it, use it or cone/bottle it up right away. If you decide to cone/bottle it up, then you can freeze it until you're ready to use it. HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR HENNA DESIGN AND GET DARK STAINS HOW DO I STORE MY HENNA? Henna powder can be kept in a cool, dark place. Henna paste can be stored in the freezer for 6-12 months. TIPS Too much liquid? If you add too much liquid, add a little more henna powder to adjust as needed.

Henna stain lasts for 2 weeks. After paste removal, henna stains orange at first, within 12 - 24 hours, it grows darker and turns into a shade of burgundy. It stays dark for a week and gradually starts fading in the next week.

This premium grade fresh henna powder will make your paste smooth and give you an easy flow & consistent lines; henna paste comes out smoothly (without clogging or clotting) through any henna applicator, yield the finest and most accurate artwork. This henna powder is ideal for beginner artists as well, it has the perfect consistency; not to stringy or creamy. The henna powder is absolutely free from any artificial coloring/aroma agents, oxidizing agent (peroxides, PPD, etc.), metallic salts (like lead acetate, EDTA, etc.), preservatives (like parabens, phthalates, etc.), pesticides or any other chemical substances (like ammonia, resorcinol, persulfates, amines, etc.). It can be used either for body art applications or for hair coloring & conditioning.
Add all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix the paste to a mashed potato consistency. Then cover the bowl with plastic and let it sit at room temperature for 6-7 hours. This is where the dye will release. Make sure you give the paste enough time to release its dye. After 6-7 hours, you’ll notice that the surface has darkened. Grab a spatula and spoon the top layer; you should see a lighter layer of henna underneath it. If so, everything is going correctly. You then want to mix the paste up really well and now is the time where you can adjust the desired thinness or thickness of your paste and you are ready to cone up your paste.
Are Henna Tattoos Safe?
Please make sure that the henna is left on to the skin for more than 9 hours, leaving henna on overnight is recommended.
It’s essential to take care of your henna stain the next day! Try to avoid contact with water during the first 7 hours after paste removal because water has an effect on how dark the final stain will look. Allow the henna stain to mature fully because these are natural
